Bleeding Control - Wound Management/Basic Life Support

Participants will complete the Basic Life Support (BLS) Course online at their own pace and bring their completion certificate to the Bleeding Control (BCON Wound Management) training. See description below:

Bleeding Control Wound Management  (4 hours) 

This beginning course is designed for law enforcement officers, firefighters, security personnel, teachers and other civilians who want training in basic life-saving medical interventions, including bleeding control with a tourniquet & bleeding control with gauze packs or topical hemostatic agents. 

There are no prerequisites for this course. This course will also teach participants how to manage other injuries seen in Active Shootings and workplace accidents. We will go more in depth with updated gear, tourniquet application, and moving patients to safety.

Content Includes:

· Treatment of head lacerations

· Penetrating wounds to the neck and chest

· Protruding objects

· Bandaging open Injuries

Participants will be provided materials and resources from bleedingcontrol.org and receive the coveted Bleeding Control Certificate of completion along with electronic access to their Basic Life Support Certification for 2 years!
